This book was spectacular! I was hooked on from the first page till the last. Every day is told by A, our main character, who lives in a different body every day. First off, the concept of the story is very unique. I have not read a single book that has a concept like Every Day so this is definitely a fresh read for me. Second, David Levithan’s writing style is just fantastic. I love how even though the book was not action-packed, I was left at the edge of my seat most of the time. I was always left intrigued when the chapter was done, so even though it was like 1 am and I haven’t done any of my homework, I still kept on reading.
I seriously adored A. I just love how he is so open minded and independent. He is also strong because he lived his life without having any parents, no birthdays, no etc. He was basically living by himself. No one actually knows his situation until he falls in love with Rhiannon. I’ll just live it at that. I also like how A and Rhiannon were very flawed and relatable characters. Some of their views opposed one another, but I could see why and it was interesting because they both made sense. Blah. I’m probably not making any sense right now, but you’ll see.
Overall I highly recommend you reading this wonderful book. It’s original and fast paced! If you’re in a reading slump, then you should definitely hop on this book because I’m sure it’ll take you away from your slump.
