Review | Benefit's 'Sun Beam' Highlighter

Review | Benefit's 'Sun Beam' HighlighterThere's no denying that I love the 'glowing' look. It makes me feel fresh and helps me look alive. However, sometimes when my skin is feeling a bit lack-luster, I have to try and enhance that glow through a highlighter. Benefit's 'Sun Beam' liquid highlighter is the one for summer. It's golden shade helps me achieve that bronzed look I like to go for during the warmer months.
Looking almost like a nail polish, Sun Beam comes in 13ml pot with a brush applicator attached to the screw-top lid - so compact and travel friendly! I apply it lightly across the tops of my cheekbones, on my cupids bow and a tiny bit on my brow bone - just for that extra lift. I'll then either take my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush or my Real Techniques Stippling Brush to blend it in.
My only qualm with this product is that it does take some blending in. Sometimes when I apply it, it can look look like I've literally just slapped it onto my face. To make sure that it's all blended I'll take either my foundation or powder brush and really blend in the edges, so there aren't any harsh lines. But the finished effect is always worth the time.
Review | Benefit's 'Sun Beam' HighlighterThis is a perfect highlighter for when I have a tan but when I'm a bit on the paler side it doesn't work as well for me. It's well worth going to a counter and swatching along with their other liquid highlighter, High Beam, which is probably better suited to lighter skin tones.
