But coming to our kids’ childhood, what a world it is out there! Learning was never this colorful, interactive or, not to mention, fun!! And one of the most popular learning methods of the modern world is the educational app, most of which go well beyond being strictly educational. One such app that has a whole lot of features packed in it is the AppyStore.
What is AppyStore?
AppyStore is an educational app developed by Mauj Mobile, and it is an all-inclusive app that includes many features. The app is free and can be downloaded from Google play store to your android device. The app is suitable for children aged 6 months to 8 years, with separate age appropriate material for each age group. The content covers seven learning areas – Numbers & Logic, Read & Listen, Arts & Craft, Rhymes & Songs, Social Skills, Nature & Science and even Physical Activity!
Once the app is downloaded, you need to register with your child’s details and your mobile number. You can opt for a 15 day free trial or sign up for a premium membership at Rs. 325 per month. This gives you access to all the videos as well as 25 free worksheets delivered home every month. There are subscription plans for 2 months, 6 months and 12 months, with special offers.
Why AppyStore?
As things are, our kids spend a lot of time on devices these days, whether it’s on a phone, a tab or a laptop. We might as well make the most of this by using this time to pick up fundamental learning concepts. With all major areas covered, you don’t need to hunt for a different app for numbers, reading or rhymes.
Another incredible advantage that AppyStore has over other educational apps is that it also includes material on crafts, social skills and physical activity. There aren’t too many apps that handle these topics pertaining to each age group and in a way relevant in the Indian context.

My Experience with AppyStore
I love that the AppyStore could be used by my 3 year old and my 8 year old. Any Mom with multiple kids knows how big a blessing this is! Another thing I liked is that the division of ages offers more options. For instance, my 3 year old enjoyed the apps in the 2-3 age group as well as the 3-4 age group. My 3 year Daughter loved the coloring worksheets we got. They were at just the right level of being challenging, like choosing the right colors for the sun, parrots and more.
My 8 year old son considers himself a whiz at using apps, and he loved this one too! He loves colouring and doesn’t miss any chance to take out his crayons and pencils! We have got him many activity books in the past, but he was kind of bored of them. The work sheets from AppyStore were perfect – he was so interested them that he completed everything without any help from my side! He was enthralled with the stories from Akbar and Birbal as well.
Since the kids will be back-to-school in June, AppyStore app will be excellent as a refresher and supplement the kids’ learning before stepping back into the school. I had no problems with the kids spending time on AppyStore, considering it is Virus-Safe and KidSafe Certified. We know how fickle kids are, they get bored super easily! That’s where the huge variety of AppyStore comes in, and the mix of online games and videos with offline worksheets is perfect for today’s instant generation. All in all, I’d recommend the AppyStore in a heartbeat!
