Reupholstered Bar Stools

By Vixenmade @vixenMade
As you know from my last post, I'm trying to update my kitchen by adding more of my colors (red, white and blue).  And at the same time, trying to brighten up the space since the existing colors are so dark.
We've had a lot of projects completed lately, and to add to the list, I finished our bar stools.

As you can see, they were a little boring and stained.  Definitely overdue for a makeover.

We removed the seat (which was just screwed on) and prepped it for painting.

I used a plastic bag to wrap the top portion and painted the legs a glossy white.

Then I removed the fabric and used them as a pattern to create the new covers. They're so bright and clean now!

Exactly what I wanted.

The best part?  I didn't even have to buy fabric for them.  I used some old curtains that I used only for a short time.  They were in great condition still and were a perfect sturdy fabric for chairs.

I am digging the pinstripes!
