For meblogging came at the right time in my life.
When I started I was so heart broken with my daughter'sdeparture for collegewriting and photographinghelped me work out my sadnessand feelings of loss.
By the time I had worked that all out I had realized what I think is the greatest key to enjoyable blogging
Respecting YOUR Story.
I don't think I could have blogged enjoyablywhen I was younger.
I would have been too concernedwith COMPARING myself to others.Wondering if what I did was good enough.
I would have missed the true beauty of what my blog is to me.
My Story.Really that's it.
Simply
the good
the bad
and
the ugly.
And
all the beauty yet to come.
I came to bloggingas my nest was emptyingand all of my waking hours had been overly investedand it began to be dawn on methat I had lost sight of myself
It was herethat I realized was a spacethat was absolutelyall my own.I could fill it with whateverI wanted.
When I wanted.
How I wanted.
It could just be about me.
Not serving anyone elseor any other purpose.
For a woman who had dedicated herselfto raising a familyand had gotten lost along the wayThis wasabsolutely intoxicating.
and it still is
because
I respect my Story
and if I respect my storyandmy journey
there is no place for comparisons.
Nobody else has my storyso comparison is useless.
You seewe all have our own storyand
the more we can truly respectour own story
the more time we haveto celebrate ourselvesand support each other.
