Fans of the Boots & Hearts Music Festival already got the news that Republic Live is moving their camping and country music fest to Burl’s Creek Event Park outside of Barrie in 2015. But now the announcement has been made that the entertainment group will also be partnering with Bonnaroo co-founder and AC Entertainment president Ashley Capps to bring a 2nd festival to the grounds in 2015…
The pairing at Burl’s Creek also makes sense since Republic Live already have the stage infrastructure in place for a festival like HomeAway. And having been to the first 3 Boots & Hearts festivals that took place in Bowmanville at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, I have no doubt that the set-up at the new venue will work out just fine with multiple stages, tons of camping and all the food and bar options you could hope to find on the grounds.
While there is no word on tickets, dates or a lineup for HomeAway 2015, my guess is that we’re going to see some big names on the list. B&H has been able to bring in top tier talent, and Bonnaroo consistently packs their lineup as well. in 2014 Tennessee festival goers saw Elton John, Kanye West, Jack White, Lionel Richie, Vampire Weekend, Arctic Monkeys, Frank Ocean, The Flaming Lips, Wiz Khalifa, Neutral Milk Hotel and a bunch more top shelf artists take to the stage to perform. So, with a partnership in place, an event park waiting to host, camping space for thousands, a team of experienced festival runners at the helm, and a thirst for a big festival close to the GTA, it looks like HomeAway is going to have a chance to be a real success for Ashley Capps and Republic Live.
Now we just have to sit back and wait for the details.
Stay Awesome!
