I just got back from a quick trip to San Francisco where I attended the Re:Make Maker's conference put on by Brit + Co. Conference pictures are not photogenic, so I will leave you with this 11 second slow motion video with my new friend, Angela Muir from Homemade in the Heartland. Sadly my jumping-up idea was better in concept than execution, but I'm never one to shy away from making a fool of myself, so here you go.
The conference was great. Great speakers, got to see the wonderful Emily Henderson and Jordan Ferney, and make new connections, which I'm hoping you'll see the fruits of on this here blog. Crossed fingers. One of my favorite parts about having a blog is the miraculous way in which you meet people from all over the world. For example, I tweeted something during the conference and Helen Hung of Helarious, visiting from Australia, tweeted back and we met up and feasted on cupcakes. I mean, this business is bonkers. The people at Brit + Co. did a very fine job. Thanks for a great time!
ALSO, thank you San Francisco for giving me more summer. It was a perfect quick couple of days in which I didn't have to wear my winter tights. Bless you. And thank you to my cousin and wife for hosting me. They're the bomb.
