Refreshing Summer Drinks – Some New Iced Tea Recipes

By Cassiefairy @Cassiefairy

I had such a lovely response to my last iced tea recipe post that I thought I’d better up my game and try out a few more iced-tea options and share the recipes with you while there’s still some of this lovely summer sun left!

As with a normal cup of iced tea, brew up one cup of normal black or lighter-tasting green tea and whip out the teabag after brewing for no longer than 5 minutes so that it doesn’t become bitter and stir in a couple of spoonfuls of sugar to your own taste. Pour into a jug with one cup of cold water and one cup of fresh orange juice. Chill in the fridge until completely cold and serve over ice with wedges of lime and my ‘nice ice‘ sliced-orange ice cubes!

Or this is my favourite iced tea recipe so far – a refreshing mint iced tea – using a green-tea-and-mint teabag instead of normal black tea and add fresh mint leaves to the cup before adding your hot water. Add sugar to taste and 2 cups of water before chilling in the fridge. Serve with ice and more fresh mint leaves!
