Inspired by the streets of South Africa, brothers Adam and Shaun of Bohemian Guitars began creating fully functional electric guitars from discarded vintage oil cans. The pair grew up in Johannesburg South Africa where they were witness to the incredible resourcefulness of the local township residents, who re-purpose all kinds of used materials into playable music instruments. Their goal is to share both their love of music and recycling with the rest of the world.
With a growing demand for their product, they are now beginning to produce their own oil cans to fill that void. They are employing a kickstarter campaign to get their new line moving and there is still time for you to join in. Checkout their story in the video below.
