Title: Beauty Queens Author: Libba Bray I think this book is an obvious choice for this category because not only is it set on a desert island of blue ocean, sandy beaches and sun, it also has a frivolity and silliness that fits well with summer! I read it in August and I'm not sure I would've enjoyed it as much if I had read it in winter. It is very tongue in cheek and satirical, full of subverted pop culture references and, most importantly, it is hilarious. Just the perfect book to read whilst sunning yourself and drinking an alcoholic beverage.
