You need the ingredients to prepare this item –
- Masoor dal
- Oil
- Salt to taste
- Ginger chopped
- Garlic chopped
- Green chilies
- Coriander leaves
- Garam masala
- Turmeric powder
- Cumin seeds
- Water
Wash the masoor dal cleanly. Then boil it with water for 20 minutes. Keep the boiled dal aside. Now take a fry pan. Add oil and Cumin seeds. Stir for 2 minutes. Add chopped ginger, chopped garlic, add turmeric powder and salt to taste. Cook it for 10 minutes. Then add green chillies and garam masala. Add water and cook it until the spices separates the oil. Add little water. Stir it continuously. Now add the boiled dal and cook it for 15 minutes. Now add coriander leaves and serve it with rice, chapatti or paratha. The thickness of the Dal will be depending upon the person who will cook it.
