For my dads 50th Birthday I made him a cake. He always says my cakes are the best (not bias in anyway!) and so I made him his Birthday cake.
I have recently done a post on how to make a victoria sponge (here) which is what I made and the decorated. I will show you what I did to decorate the cake so to make the actual cake check out the recipe post here.
I have sprinkle, Coloured writing icing to write 'Happy Birthday' and the '50', sugar stars and chocolate curls
Also some cadbury dairymilk pebble sweets, and galaxy counters
Also some butter icing (175g of butter and 350g of icing sugar which will sufficiently cover the top of the cake) and a piping bag
I wrote 50 of a selection of galaxy counters for decoration around the cake as well as using it as a glue to stick stars to the sweets!I love decorating cakes it my favorite part of baking them!If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.Laura x
