Last month, together with a few fantastic travel bloggers we started a new travel linkup - #REASONS2TRAVEL. I've had a few different travel bloggers from Italy email me because they want to join but they don't know what a linkup is!
This is what Italians look like when I try to explain a linkup!

The Basics: What's a "Linkup"
A LINKUP is a directory of links. These links usually have some type of theme in common (I host a fashion linkup every Tuesday for example!) ... the theme could be recipes, travel, fashion etc.
A linkup is a way for you to include a post you've written on another website so that you can share it and hopefully find a reader who is interested enough to follow you and share your stuff....after all, you took a long time to write it why not share it! Sometimes, it is nice to find people who are already interested in a certain topic and that's why linkups are great.
Last month we had posts about what to wear when travelling, The Best Parks in Milan, Croatia's stunning sunsets and off the beaten path spots in Greece! Every post is different, but they are all connected to the same theme.
I Don't Blog
GREAT! The most important reasons bloggers join linkups is to FIND NEW READERS!! If you love fashion and you visit a fashion linkup, you'll have many looks to choose from. If you like a look you can visit that person's blog. I visit recipe linkups when I need dinner inspiration, travel linkups when I need travel inspiration and parenting linkups when I need survival tactics.
Readers are the main reason that bloggers blog. So if you are not a blogger, then please join in by paying someone a visit and having a good read....you never know what you might find.
How does it Work
#1 -A "fresh" #REASONS2TRAVEL linkup begins the first Friday of the month. On the Friday, visit one of the hosting blogs and you'll find their most recent post.
#2 -At the bottom of that post you'll find a little blue button that says "add your link", click on it!
#3 - Fill in this info: Email, Link, Title and add an image.
#4 - Follow the linkup rules! Part of joining is accepting to be a part of the community, so please add the linkup badge (there is a code box below) or link your post back to the person hosting the linkup, preferably to the page with the linkup text.
And voilà !! you've linked up!
Why Should I Join?
Well....it only takes a minute or two to linkup, and in return you have your blog post on 5 different websites. Plus if you use the #REASONS2TRAVEL hashtag, your hosts will retweet you AND you have a very good chance of getting a comment (or two or three) from your hosts!
