The Reason She Dressed
So I bet you thought I was lying way back when, when I said that in Italy moms look GOOD even for no reason. We are talking about stay at home moms that put on makeup and put together an outfit and take their perfectly groomed babies in designer clothes out for a “passeggiata” (walk).
Here is a perfect example. Cecilia. I was taking my son to the Giardini Estense, on Thursday I’ll be posting about the Giardini Estense, since that’s just how I roll.
Anywho as I was saying I was walking along and noticed her from a far She was polished, has great hair and looked meticulously put together in a “I’m not even trying” sort of way. We stopped and I asked if I could take her picture (you’d be SURPRISED how many people say no because they don’t trust bloggers, the internet or me because I have an accent!). But luckily Cecilia said yes. She is a WAHM that used to run a blog about design and designer furniture, but recently stopped blogging.
This particular morning she was just out for a stroll with her beautiful daughter, whose outfit matched her stroller!
What She Wore
Her leather look shorts and striped top are from Zara. Her bag is Marc by Marc Jacobs I’m pretty sure it is this model. It retails for about 400 euro ($542). Her rings are from Reminiscence Paris, and have thus inspired MY OWN REMINISCENCE Giveaway!!! I LOVE how she wear’s so many rings….it makes her look rocker, and edgy and dangerous without going overboard. And did you notice she’s also wearing a men’s style watch on her wrist? Women with men’s style watches are totally “in” this season. I didn’t ask her to pull up her sleeve and show me because I didn’t want to push my creepy blogger luck.
Do you like her style? Do you get dressed up just to take a walk with your toddler? Any other moms out there totally looking for reasons to dress up every chance they get? …… or are Italians (and me!!!) the only ones?
I’ve linked up with Karly Kim’s Totally Posted Tuesday, you should check her out, her stories are fantastic.
