I started this blog a couple years back after taking some time off from work after the birth of my second child. I missed design and felt out of the loop after months of "baby/kid"time. Blogging served as a way to reconnect, be it virtually, and have a place to compile images I loved and document projects I was working on in my own space. It also held me accountable to finish those projects. I had no plan or direction, the blog took on its own life and I have made so many friends and contacts through it. I am so thankful for that!
One of the best parts has been hearing from my readers. I remember the first year, wondering if anyone was even reading... being shocked when I got a comment. And then I started getting emails asking how to do certain things, so I my house became a canvas for DIYs. I can't tell you how it makes my day to know I have inspired some of you,
and that are you actually doing some of my DIYs!
OK, so I need to share this with you... I feel like a proud mama...
Check out Maddy's countertop makeover.

She practiced on a small side table first and then did this project. I am so impressed by her!
It is amazing how much brighter her kitchen is with lighter counters.
Thanks for sharing this Maddy! You get serious high fives for a job well done!
And keep the projects coming, I love to see what you guys are up to.
