Raw Banana Stir Fry – marinated with spices and pan fried recipe. You can serve with any variety rice or accompanied with sambar or rasam.

Raw Banana Stir Fry Recipe
Ingredients:
- Raw Banana/ vazhaikai – 2 nos.
To marinate:
- Corn flour – 2 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Cumin powder – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – a generous pinch
- Salt – as required
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
To toast:
- Oil- as needed
Method:
- Cut both ends of raw banana(vazhakai) and peel the skin. Cut into thick round slices and soak in water.
- Wash all the pieces and drain the water completely. Mix all the items given under “ to marinate” and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Heat dosa pan or tawa, add tsp of oil and place 5 to 6 marinated raw banana pieces.
- Keep the flame medium and toast equally on both sides. Repeat the same for remaining pieces.
Serve as side dish with rice.
Notes:
- Soak the veggie in water after cut into pieces, to avoid discoloration.
- Adjust the salt and spice level as of your taste.
