“Rangers Make Play for Feyenoord Star Danilo: Transfer Bid Unveiled”

Rangers are set to make a second bid for Brazilian striker Danilo, according to reports coming out of Feyenoord. The initial offer from the Scottish club, rumored to be around £3.5 million, was rejected by the Dutch champions last month. Despite completing the £4.8 million signing of Cyriel Dessers from Cremonese, Rangers’ interest in former Ajax player Danilo remains strong, as confirmed by sources close to Football Scotland.

Danilo, 24 years old, showcased his scoring prowess last season, finding the net 14 times in 48 appearances and finishing as the second-highest scorer for Feyenoord in the league. However, the majority of his appearances came as a substitute, and the prospect of becoming the focal point of Rangers’ attack has piqued the striker’s interest.

Having gauged Feyenoord’s expectations, Rangers are now preparing an improved bid as manager Michael Beale aims to further strengthen his revamped frontline. Beale has already made seven signings this summer, with the likes of Dessers, Sam Lammers, and Abdallah Sima bolstering the attacking options.

In addition to pursuing Danilo, Rangers are actively working on securing the services of long-term target Jose Cifuentes, whose contract with Los Angeles FC expires in December. Beale has expressed a strong desire to bring the Ecuadorian international midfielder to Ibrox immediately. While negotiations continue between the two clubs, Rangers remain optimistic about convincing Los Angeles FC to part ways with Cifuentes before the winter transfer window, rather than risk losing him for free.
