Random Thoughts on “American Sniper”

I haven’t seen American Sniper, but everyone that I’ve talked to who has seen it has said wonderful things about it. Meanwhile, the media has been caught off guard by the movie and appears to be at a loss to explain its success. Here’s my two million:

After six years with a limp-wristed, weaselly-acting, Marxist-spouting homo in the White House, the country is starved for real American heroes.

After decades of gay-acting, left-leaning, abortion-promoting, gun control-spouting Hollywood hypocrites, the public is dying for old-fashioned American values.

After a quarter century of poorly written, badly acted, self-serving drivel on movies and television, the people are embracing plain-old good storytelling.

Progressives and Democrats hate this movie for the same reason they hate America: it represents everything they’re not. That it’s embraced by such a large segment of the American population, only makes their hatred worse. That hatred tells you a lot about who they really are.

Now if only Clint Eastwood would make a movie about Benghazi.

Mike
