Well it shouldn't be surprising that Pantone's color of year for 2014 is Radiant Orchid. Its a result of the "purple" comeback as we've been seeing as clients have been slowly returning to purples and deep eggplants. I'm predicting that this color will bleed over into the wedding industry and perhaps will challenge its current color darling: Navy, as a frontrunner.
Because Pantone continues to utilize Textile (TCX) swatch numbers for the color of the year, please note that for the "ink on paper" crowd, the proper Pantone equivalent is 88-6.
