Race And Racism In America. I’m Done.

By Eowyn @DrEowyn

Friends I have been trying to do a post on racism in America for over a month. I have been having a real difficult time trying to say just what it is that I felt. I was having a hard time and my emotions were running the gamut.

I was listening to the Dennis Miller radio show Tuesday, BTW the show is brilliant and runs here in Fla. from 12-3 PM and is a great alternative to Rush. Anyway Dennis is discussing “Racism” and talking about this idiot L.A. Clippers Owner Donald Sterling who spewed some White on Black racist stuff. Then he was talking about Home Run King Hank Aaron who spewed some Black on White racist stuff. He then gave me my Eureka Moment!

He said both these guys are nuts. The country is filled with them. And until everyone signs a waiver stating they will not get offended when discussing racism then leave me out of the discussion. He’s right. You can’t talk about it without someone being offended, so I can’t fix it.

A caller called in and he said..

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Ahh, the Serenity Prayer.

And that my friends is so perfect. I can’t change it so I must accept it for now. I will not partake in this nonsense anymore. Sounds stupid, but I feel better already.

PS. I am now going behind the dashboard of the blog and deleting my “Draft” post on Racism.   :)
