In advance of their recently announced fourth album Need Your Light, Ra Ra Riot share their newest single “Water” – one of two tracks off the album produced by Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend. Both Rotsam and Ra Ra Riot frontman Wes Miles have collaborated in the past as Discovery, and “Water” is an extension of where their songwriting left off, blending the best of both bands with Ra Ra Riot’s synthy strings and the eclectic instrumental aesthetic of Vampire Weekend.
On collaborating again, Rostam says:
“I think we found that same freedom in making these songs that we had found years ago making the Discovery record.”
