Quitting Cigarettes With Willpower and Vape

I’ve always wanted to quit smoking, but it is easier said than done. I know because I’ve been there. Too many times!

It  is a habit  that is notoriously difficult to give up.  I know, cause I’ve been there… too many times! I’m happy to report, however, that I’ve been smoke free for months now!

What made me do it? The same reason that a lot of smokers say “I wish I can quit this”: it was starting to physically, actually, hurt. Trust me, all smokers come to the desire to quit because of physical effects, but the addiction is hard to beat. Smoking feels amazing. It make you somehow feel more productive while feeling more relaxed. However even the biggest fans of smoking can’t deny all the downside to it. Your clothes will smell, your breathing feels like torture, and you feel like killing someone every time you accidentally run out of cigarettes.

My personal reasons included the fact that I have really started dedicating myself to a fitter life. My fitness resolution for 2015 won against my  cigarette addiction. I can run all I want, but with all the panting, I will never be able to realize my real personal best. I needed to quit if I wanted to get to get in shape and reach my fitness goals. I tried pretty much everything – cold turkey felt like torture, patches and gums didn’t work at all. What did work, however, were E-cigarettes.

While everyone is still debating over whether an E-Cigarette is helpful or not, I can personally say that it has contributed a lot to me quitting smoking actual cigarettes. Studies show that smokers who quit are 60% more likely to quit for good if they used e-cigarettes compared to other alternatives.

I believe it! E-cigarettes make you quit cigarettes without compromising the feeling of smoking, which helps psychologically. It also actually helps that you have to actually charge and refill the e-cigarette. That means that it isn’t as easy as lighting a cigarette and inhaling. You tend to reach for your vape only when socializing, and tend not to chain smoke.

Buying an electronic cigarette is also much easier than constantly buying a pack. The only thing you will possibly run out of more frequently is the juice, but it rarely happens because most vape smokers tend to rotate between 2-3 flavors at a time.
