1. Catch a metro train going to Gangbyeon Station in Seoul is on Line 2, green line. Walk across the pedestrian, and you’ll see a bus terminal. Buy a ticket to Sokcho, fare is 17300 won. Travel time is around 3 hours. There are over 40 departing bus per day to Sokcho from 6am to 11pm.2. Get off at the Sokcho Intercity Bus Terminal. If you’re going back on the same day to Seoul, I recommend you to buy a return ticket.3. About 40 - 50 meters, right side of the terminal, you’ll see a Sokcho City Busop. Wait for bus 7-1 to arrive, this bus will bring you to the entrance of the National Park. Travel time is about 30 minutes. Fare is 1300 won. Prepare exact amount of money if you don't have the T-money card.
Sokcho City bus number 7 and 7-1 ventures into the Park Village of Seorak-Dong and up to the park gates. However these buses can get incredibly busy in peak times on weekends and public holidays.
4. Entrance fee to Sokcho National Park is 3000 won.5. Fastest way to reach the summit of Mt. Seoraksan is riding a cable for 5000 won.6. If you're going to explore the Seoraksan National Park for a day tour, make sure to get the time of departure of the buses from the gate of national park going back to Sokcho. Last trip is 5:15PM. Seoraksan National Park is definitely worth the visit. Yes, it's possible to go to Seoraksan National Park for day tour, but prepare yourself in a 6-8 hours bus trip back and forth if you're coming from Seoul.
