Let’s us start first at Cebu City which is the capital of the province and to the nearby town which can possibly done by day tour. Places to visit:Magellan’s Cross is the most notable landmark in Cebu. This wooden cross commemorates Ferdinand Magellan’s propagation of Christianity to the locals. It can be seen in a chapel next to Basilica Minore del Sto. Nino at Magallanes Street.

Basilica Minore del Sto. Nino. Located along Osmena Boulevard, few steps from Magellan’s Cross will lead you to this oldest Roman Catholic Church established in the country which was built on the 16th century and home of the oldest religious relic, the statue of the Child Jesus Christ that dates back 1521.

Cathedral Museum of Cebu. Formerly known as the Cebu Archiocesan Museum for the Cultural Heirtage of the Church. It is located in Manalili cor. P Gomez St. This museum houses lithurgical exhibition of the artifacts found in all the churches and also its history. It is open from 9AM – 12PM in the morning and resume at 1:00PM – 5:00PM every Tuesday to Sunday. There’s applied entrance fee which is 50Php for locals and 100Php for foreigners. 
Fort San Pedro is the smallest and oldest tri-bastion fort in the country. This fort used to serve as the first settlement of the Spanish settlement.

Heritage of Cebu Monument  is located on the original Plaza Parian in Colon St. The Heritage of Cebu Monument showcases the significant and symbolic events in the history of Cebu from the time of Rajah Humabon to the recent beatification of Cebuano martyr Pedro Calungsod. It was constructed in July 1997 and inaugurated in December 8, 2000. The monumental sculptural display is the work of national artist Eduardo Castrillo.

Taoist Temple is located at Beverly Hills wherein the teachings and philosophy of the Chinese thinker, Lao – Tze are kept alive. Visitor climbs 81 steps up to the temple which represents 81 chapters of Taoism scriptures. 

Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral is the ecclesiastical seat of the Metropolitan Archiocese of Cebu. It was established as a diocese on 1595 and was elevated as a metropolitan archdiocese on 1934.

Outside Cebu City, explore the Lapu – Lapu Shrine with a 20 meter bronze statue that commemorates Datu Lapu Lapu, a native chieftain of Mactan Island who defeated Spanish soldiers and killed the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan.  This is where the first Philippine battle happened thus being preserved for historical conservation. It is located in an enclosed park at Punta Engaño in Lapu-Lapu City.
