We have long-admired the work that Mike Hermann and his team have been doing with Purple Lizard Maps Their combination of old world mapping techniques, including on the ground research, crazy attention to detail, artistry and industry leading digital cartographic design have all been clear to see in every map they deliver. Not only that, but their commitment to high quality to their users.
This also happens to be HiiKER’s first independent mapping partner in the US. While our audience in the US has exploded in recent months, our mapping offering has been limited to USGS (United States geological survey). Don’t get us wrong, these are also great maps. But Purple Lizard Maps’ attention to detail, local knowledge, route information and overall design is what makes their customers keep coming back with each new outdoor recreation map they offer.
Purple Lizard Maps will be available to use with all the excellent navigation and planning features of HiiKER
All 18 titles from Purple Lizard will be available to HiiKER PRO+ users from 29th May 2024. These maps will be available to use in conjunction with other great HiiKER features, such as; 3D maps, Route planning, navigation and recording, custom waypoints and points of interest (POI). Subscription fee for PRO+ is $6.49 per month or $49.99 for a year.
