Pur Minerals is a brand I haven’t really heard much about but being a lover of neutral eye shadow shades, I was very excited to try out their Au Naturel Eye Shadow Palette & Cease Crease Eye Shadow Primer! The brand carries a diverse line of mineral based makeup and skincare products.
The Au Naturel Eye Shadow Palette is packaged beautifully in a flip open design that also includes a mirror and a brush (which is actually really lovely and soft!). The palette features 6 eye shadow shades that are divided into 2 to help you achieve 2 different looks – Glowing Days and Smoldering Nights but of course, you can use the colours in any way you wish. The 4th shade, Loyal, is a matte shade whilst the others have a shimmer, frosty or satin like finish.
As with all eye shadow palettes, there are some hits and some misses in terms of the pigmentation but I do really love the range of shades included in this palette as you can create a range of day or night looks.
The shades True (1st shade), Devoted (3rd shade) and Indulge (5th shade) which all share a frosty like satin finish are gorgeous in color payoff and transfers very well from the pan to the eye. While Radiant (6th shade) shades the same finish, it does lack some color payoff when compared to the others. The shimmer shade Sincere (2nd shade) and matte shade Loyal (4th shade) do need to be built up for color but all the eyeshadows have a lovely smooth texture and do last well on the eye.
The Pur Minerals Cease Crease Eye Shadow Primer is packaged in a tube for easy use and has a lovely texture that when blended onto the eyelid, leaves it smooth and very slightly tacky, making it the perfect base to then apply eye shadow. The primer not only helped the eye shadow to adhere to the eyelid and make the color more intense but it also aided in the blending of the shadows as well as ensuring that the eyeshadows stayed crease free on the eye for longer.
I found that the primer helped the shadows stay put for 3-4 hours longer than they would have if they were to have been applied on the bare eyelid and for someone like me who unfortunately has oily eyelids, I really enjoyed the results from this primer.
The Pur Minerals Au Naturel Eye Shadow Palette & Cease Crease Eye Shadow Primer is available in a set which also contains the Pur Minerals Double Ego Eyeliner (which I will be featuring soon in an upcoming post) from TVSN, the TV Shopping Network.
