Donald Trump has bragged repeatedly about what a great job he has done of controlling the Coronavirus pandemic, and speakers at this week's Republican convention are repeating those claims. They are lies, and the American people know it. The truth is that the public no longer trusts Trump when he talks about the virus.
This poll asked respondents who they would trust more to give them information about the Coronavirus -- Donald Trump or Joe Biden. The answer was not even close. By a 15 point margin, the public says they would trust Biden more than Trump (a 16 point margin among Independents and 73 point margin among Democrats). The only group that trusts Trump are Republicans.
