Donald Trump issued an order directing the military to discharge Transgendered individuals from the military. His rather weak excuse was that transgenders serving affected military effectiveness. Most people don't agree with that. They know it's just more discrimination from Trump.
This is just one more example of Trump doing something the public doesn't want. A whopping 71% of adults say they approve of transgendered individuals serving in the military, while only a tiny 26% oppose them serving. And both men and women approve, as well as all age groups and both veterans and nonveterans. Only one group disapproved -- Republicans, and 43% of them of them approved.
The chart above shows the result of this question when asked by the Gallup Poll. The survey was done between May 15th and 30th of a national sample of 1,017 adults, with a 4 point margin of error.
