These charts show that most Americans are very unhappy with the Republican-controlled government in Washington (D.C.). About 80% say they are dissatisfied or angry about the government, while only 13% say they are satisfied or happy.
And that's not all. only 20% think Trump has kept his promise to "drain the swamp" and made progress in doing that, while a whopping 71% think he has accomplished nothing or made the "swamp" worse. The public also believes Trump has divided the country. About 63% say the country is more divided under Trump, while only 9% say it's more united.
But the final chart is the one I like best. It shows that 81% think the Founding Fathers would be upset if they came back and saw how today's federal government was functioning. Only 11% thought the Founding Fathers would be happy with what they saw.
The charts reflect results from a recent Monmouth University Poll -- done between December 10th and 12th of a random national sample of 806 adults, with a margin of error of 3.5 points.
