PS3 has “a lot of life left, we really have to keep it alive,” says Sony
PS3 owners will still get a lot of use out of the aging system over the next couple of years, according to marketing executive John Koller, the PS3 still has a lot of life left in it.
Speaking with press at Sony Santa Monica last week, Koller told Gamespot there’s still quite a bit of life left in the old girl yet.
“We believe that the platform has a lot of life left in it,” he said. “Two, three, four years; we think there’s time left in the platform. It depends on the content.
“We have a good lineup this year and it looks like a good lineup next year. We need to keep fueling that.
“We really have to keep PS3 alive. And so to do that, we have to further the content. I think there will be a good story for the PS3 over the next year to two years.”
Thief, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Dark Souls 2, Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemist of Dusk Sky, Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster, Watch Dogs, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden and Dragon Age: Inquisition are some of the premier titles to look forward to.
