Pairing sweetly melodic vocals with complex and shifting instrumentation, new Brooklyn based group ">" target="_blank">Andrei Rublev immediately caught our attention. The heavy, jazz-like percussion takes center stage in their track “It’s True” propelling the song in a swirl of sound. The drums stops short only to highlight the dulcet vocals once, making it all the more impactful when they come rushing in moments later at full force. From the minds of veteran Brooklyn musicians Alexander Margitich and Dan Drohan it’s not at all surprising that they have such a knack for creating complex, yet listenable music. Check out the track above and be sure to keep an eye out for their next Brooklyn gig.
