Product Review: Signet Complete High Chair from SvanAlthough the days of having a baby in the house are gone, I often think back on those wonderful times and all the firsts. Sadie's 6 now, and going in Grade 1 ... EEK! Sometimes I wish she was still small, and then I think how nice it is that she is independent and older and wiser and doesn't need a watchful eye 24/7.
Buying things for a new baby is always fun ... something that I do miss. Lucky for me, I have a younger sister who has 2 kids and wants more, so I still get to spoil her and buy all the neat gadgets coming out. Her youngest is a 6-month-old baby boy, and my favorite nephew so far. (Don't worry ... I only have one.) Hunter is his name, and he has been eating solids now for about a month.
Highchairs are something I remember having a hard time choosing. Some were so BIG, others too wide, too heavy, not portable, not easy to pack for a trip, took up too much space or just looked like eyesores in any room. My husband’s parents ended up buying us one from a catalogue, which did the trick, but again ... it was too big. It was one of those that turned into a table and chairs as the child got older.
Product Review: Signet Complete High Chair from SvanSvan (www.svan.com) sent me one of their highchairs to review. It was perfect timing as Hunter was just getting ready to try his first tastes of solid food, and he was getting a bit too big for his other chair. The model I received to review was the Signet Complete in white. I sent it home with them one night and told them good luck. My first question was, "How was the assembly?" My brother-in-law said it wasn't bad at all ... read the instructions and it’s even easier. Oh, men!
We all know how messy baby foods can be, and meal time only gets messier as they become independent and want to feed themselves. My sister loved how easy clean-up was. The high chair is made with non-BPA and non-phthalate materials. It also has a removable plastic tray cover, which is a bonus for clean-up as well. It stores on the back of the seat when you don't need it.
Product Review: Signet Complete High Chair from SvanMy sister also loved how it blended in with her modern decor. It looked like it belonged and wasn't all gussied up with baby prints. It was easy to move around, and she liked how it can grow with your child. It also pulls up to any standard height table so the baby of the family can join in at mealtime. The felt padding on the base helps with the ease of moving it and doesn’t damage the floors.
The Signet Complete High Chair retails for $260 and is available in 5 neutral colors to fit any home decor. It grows with your baby from as little as 6 months up to young adult. (My sister’s 3-year-old loves it, too.) With the adjustable seat and footrest, you can customize it to fit your baby comfortably. You have the option to buy one of the high-chair cushions, too, for $40, in 7 really cool colors. Svan also has playroom furniture, boosters, cookbooks and more, so check them out at www.svan.com.
