Here’s part 2 of my morning makeup routine series post! And it’s all about a new discovery last December turned fave — Benefit’s Fake Up Crease-Control Hydrating Concealer. It’s a no-brainer that concealer is a beauty staple in my kit seeing that I have dark under eye area. But previous contenders from brands like L’oreal and Maybelline and Covergirl all failed on me on the one thing that’s most important to me. It must NOT be noticeable, meaning no product setting in the fine lines, and definitely no creasing!
With this concealer screaming “crease-control” on its name, I knew I have to get it. Plus, let’s not forget the “hydrating” part it claims! That’s the white outer ring you see in the product shot above. That part has Vitamin E and Apple seed extract to keep the under-eye area hydrated. Overall I like how it made my eyes more refreshed.
But just a clincher, this doesn’t cover up redness or pimple marks very well. Boohoo! I kinda wish it can be an all-over concealer so I don’t have to use a separate heavy-duty coverage for my stubborn pimple marks, ohwell. I guess my MAC Studio Fix Concealer can breathe a sigh of relief as I don’t see it being replaced anytime soon.
Quick tips! Apply concealer in a “V” shape and blend inward. And set the concealed area with powder after. This will result to a more natural look. Watch out for part 3 of this series as I’ll be reviewing Happy Skin’s Don’t Get Mad Get Even foundation.
