The worst nightmare for a girl or a boy is suffering from acne. These re pimples recurring every time when they are least desired. The most drastic thing is the acne scars it leaves behind. I also suffered it on my nose area. every time I looked myself in mirror, I would turn away by just one look of it. it pains also sometimes which can range from mild to severe when touching the affected area.
Several creams are manufactured with lots of promises to make. But in actual, they treat the acne from just the skin level. This is internal problem which occurs because of impurities in blood. If that is taken care of well, everything will be all right. Below I will share the measures which I took in order to keep the acne away.
#1. Keep a check on fried food
Being in India, having deep fried food is something which one can't miss. But this fried food raises oil levels in the body which in turn cause the skin to become more oily. The pimples start forming because of the excess oil accumulation at the affected area. I have my nose more oily than my entire face causing the outburst of pimples. I would recommend not to indulge heavily on fried food. Eat in moderation. And if you are more prone to it, find another alternative.
#2. Keep a check on sweets
Another one of our favorites. Sweets when taken in excess cause irritation of skin. The pimples condition is worsened if taken excess sweets. Chocolates also cause this to happen in girls. I would recommend to try to cut down the craving for them in order to get a clean skin.
#3. Drink plenty of water
Water, a natural cleanser is a god's sent angel for the skin. If your bloodstream is free of impurities, nothing will be able to cause acne on it. I would recommend drinking minimum 8 glasses of water except for the ones taken at the meal time.
#4. Avoid dry fruits and the like
Dry fruits like cashew nuts cause stomach heat. The temperature has to show out in some form. this way it takes the form of pimples and in some cases mouth ulcers as well. The only thing I would recommend is to drink lots of water and one can also take cold milk(in summers) which can soothe the liver and prevent the pimples.
#5. Cut down on alcohol
This one is somewhat known to all. Alcohol when taken in moderation (wine 120ml daily cause no harm when taken with dinner) can act as a medicine for the body. but when taken in excess can cause severe hormonal imbalances leading to the the occurrence of pimples.
#6. Cut down intake of tea/coffee
In work pressures, we often tend to have tea/coffee in small intervals of time. This in excess cause body to dehydrate eventually leading to the occurrence of pimples. Its best to find an alternative like a small glass of lukewarm water to replace the tea/coffee craving.
#7. Have plenty of fruits every day
Fruits act as detoxifiers for the body. In addition they are important source of several vitamins and minerals the lack of which can cause acne to occur.
#8. Avoid spicy foods
If you eat out frequently, try to avoid spicy food. Most of the restaurants cook food in the most favorite masala (garam masala to be more precise) which further worsens skin irritation.
#9. Keep constipation at bay
Constipation aids in acne as the impurities keep on accumulating causing several other problems along with itself. the best way is to drink lots of water and have a good night sleep of at least 6 hours. It will keep a check on your metabolism.
Note: These tips are helpful in preventing acne. Although there may be some other reason of acne. its always best to consult your doctor to know the exact underlying cause for the same. Once the underlying cause is known, the treatment can be made accordingly. Hope it helps. Take care.
