Preparation Tips for NDA Exam

The NDA is the combined training academy conducted by the Indian Armed Forces. Here, the trainees of the Air Force, the Army and the Navy are trained simultaneously before they set out on a pre-authorizing training in individual institutes. NDA is the world's first tri-service academy situated in Pune and Maharashtra.

Career

When a cadet effectively finishes the NDA program, he moves further to the institute he has selected for the training, earlier than he is conceded commission. The trainees of Army moves to IMA (Indian Military Academy), Dehradun, Naval trainees, move to INA (Indian Naval Academy), Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force trainees go for AFA (Air Force Association) at Dundigal, Hyderabad. When they finish the program, they are prepared to start a bright profession with the Indian Armed Forces.

A little bit about NDA exam

The NDA candidates are selected by conducting a written test by the UPSC (Union Public Services Commission), trailed by Intelligence and Personality test led by SSB (Services Selection Board), which incorporates aptitude, general, physical skills, team skills and so forth. The UPSC organizes this test two times every year in around 41 centers in the county.

The Written test comprises two segments: General Ability for 600 scores and Mathematics for 300 scores. Each exam is for 2-2.30 hours. The questions in the paper will be objective and come in both English and Hindi language. This helps the students to understand the questions without any difficulty.

Intelligence and Personality Test

This test assesses the intelligence, personality and mental leaning of the student. The test incorporates teamwork, group discussions, psychological testing, and a medical test. The motive behind this test is to examine the mental and physical ability of the student and to know they are eligible to go through tough conditions in the future.

Reading the right books is exceptionally important. There are a lot of books available in the market, but you can't say that every book is worth it. There is also the possibility that you will find different topics in different books. Search for good and high rated books which can help you to score good marks and clear the exam easily.

Solve Previous Year Question Papers

It is important to choose the right path while preparing for NDA exam. To do so, you can solve previous year questions; it will help you to get an idea about the NDA exam pattern as well as will enhance your speed. There are possibilities that the questions in previous exams should be added to your current exam. It will also help you to read more than just books.

Health Maintenance and Personality

The NDA selection is not only limited to the written exam, but your health and personality are also important. So, the participants have to keep their body fit healthy. To stay fit, they should eat healthy and rich vitamin food and try to avoid junk food or street food. Prefer to do some exercise, yoga or meditation to relieve your body from stress.
