Pregnant. Toddler. Moving.

By Guerrillamom @mariaguido
I always used to look at pregnant women who had toddlers with confusion. What the hell are you doing, lady? Are you crazy? A glutton for punishment? Stupid?
The answer to all of those questions is yes. I can say that, because I am now 7 months pregnant with a 2-year old in tow. To add a couple more degrees of crazy to the situation - we decided to move our family to another state this week. Yes, I got on a plane and moved all of my earthly belongings. Seven months pregnant, toddler, cat in a freaking duffel bag and stressed out husband - all of us headed to the airport after days of moving hell. Good God. Not smart.
But over. It's all over now. We're moved. We've had two nights of incredible sleep. The move is done. Well, not totally. We're in kind of a limbo-transitional state for a few months - but all of the heavy lifting is over. Phew.
This is why I want to raise my son a Buddhist. Impermanence is awesome. Everything passes. Clearly, our situation is not that bad. There are people who go through hell everyday and I would never compare moving to the awful things that some have to go through and get through. But, even with these small stresses - it's good to remember that everything comes to an end eventually.
My mom has a greeting card on her bookshelf that I can see from the spot where I am writing this very post. It says,
If you're going through hell, keep going.

Exactly.

Pregnant. Toddler. Moving.

He handled the flight pretty well.
