Pregnancy Week 32: Sleep Deprivation

By Thepracticalmommy2 @PracticalMommy2

You know that feeling you get when you sink down onto your comfy pillow, close your eyes, and feel your body relax into a sedated state of peaceful slumber?

That's so not me.

Lately, it's more of a grunting hippo who climbs into bed, falls on her back, and then struggles to get the pillows just right between her legs and under her belly so she can sleep on her side, all while fighting off a nasty cramp in her hip...

Pretty picture, eh?

I've never been a 'good' sleeper, but these nights have been the worst. I am at the point of complete discomfort with this pregnancy. Between laying on my side, getting the cramps in my hips, not being able to breathe, baby break-dancing in the belly, having to go potty every 15 minutes...Oh, and did I mention the cute, adorable two-year old who isn't so cute or adorable when she still wakes up at least twice every night?!?

Pregnancy Week 32: Sleep Deprivation

Truth.

Let's just say sleep isn't in the cards for me at this point. I've given up, but hey, it's all in practice for the newborn baby who's going to keep me up at night, right?

No, no. I'm fine. I knew that when I signed for this motherhood job that I was forfeiting my rights to any and all sleep. Someday, in the future, I'll sleep well again.

And maybe when the baby comes I'll sleep when he sleeps...

HA!

In other news, we get to see the little bambino once more via ultrasound on Monday. He'll probably be sleeping then since it will be morning, but you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be poking and prodding to wake him up! Muhahaha! (It's only fair!)

Until next week,
