Most political pundits don't give Democrats much of a chance to flip the House of Representatives to their control in the November election. And I agree that it will be tough considering the massive gerrymandering done by the Republicans after the 2010 census. But I'm not ready to give up.
Poll after poll has shown the Republican-controlled Congress continues to have a very poor rating among voters -- in single digits in some polls and low double-digits in others. Now we have another survey that shows support for Democratic congressional candidates is stronger than it's been since 2008.
It is the Democracy Corps Survey -- done between June 23rd and 28th of a random national sample of 900 likely voters, with a margin of error of 3.27 points.
It shows that in 2012, the two parties were favored equally (46% to 46%). That has changed. In March of this year, Democrats were favored 48% to 42%, and in June were favored 49% to 41% -- a margin of 8 points, which is equal to the 8 point margin in 2008. It could grow even stronger by November.
