They say I have two passions in life (excluding matters of the heart of course): gardening and shoes. And with last weekend being my birthday one I received items that belonged to both categories and I couldn't be happier. It's nice to embrace superficiality at times!
So I got myself a few more knick knacks to add to our collection on display at our top patio. I'm loving the orange ceramic pedestals which instantly added height to sections of the display that I felt lacked 'definition' until they were added. Plus the bright color is our thing at the moment.
As for the elephant, well the moment I saw it on the display window it made me smile. So it made sense to add it to our garden right? We have an elephant and fish thing going anyway on the top patio so it made it even more appropriate to have. And it carried on making me smile everytime I see it in amongst the pot display, that's what really it is all about. He reminds me of Dumbo...
Ahhhww! So shoot me, I think he's a sweetie!
Anyway, that's the very latest with regards to our pot display!
On to the subject of prints and patterns, some of the pots I collected appealed to me because of the interesting patterns and color combinations they have, like the ones below:
It's not just the outside that has a nice print but the inside too, which is sometimes different to the outside.

The patterns and prints on the blue pots below I'm especially fond of as well.
And why did I especially highlight these particular pots? Because I like the patterns and colours so much that I wouldn't mind using them as a feature wallpaper in the house especially the yellow and green one. There's a little bit of seventies thing going on with them but not so much so to be in your face. I know such patterns are trendy at the moment.
Saying that, I'm sticking with our plain white walls and leave the patterns to the pots!
