Research Assistant (Salary Scale 13 TV-L)
To be appointed 1 February 2016. The initial appointment is for three years, renewable for up to two additional years.
Responsibilities and duties
Responsibilities and duties include research, teaching (2 classes per semester), and service.
Employment conditions
To qualify for the position, applicants must have a PhD (or close to completion) in philosophy. Area of specialization: Philosophy of Science, with special interest in the philosophy of physics or the philosophy of climate science.
The position is attached to the Chair for Theoretical Philosophy, especially Philosophy of Science (Professor Mathias Frisch).
The Institute of Philosophy at Leibniz Universität Hannover has recently been awarded a multi-year grant for a Graduiertenkolleg (a research training group) “Integrating Ethics and Epistemology of Scientific Research”. Active participation in the group is desirable.
Part-time employment can be arranged on request.
