Pop Edits

Posted on the 27 November 2011 by Pelski
Pop editsIt would be fair to say Phil Collins' 'I'm Not Moving' has seen enough remixes. Recently it's been sampled by Trickski, who turned it into an impossibly slow-burner; Pitto went the other way, stretching a small vocal snippet into a filtered house banger. This is a more middle-of-the-road affair, like the Idjut Boys edit, Jay Todd's is a jaunty house jam. Thanks go to Sloth Boogie blog for the pointer:
Phil Collins - I’m Not Moving (Jay Todd Re-Edit) {wav file} [pelski highly recommends]
A similar take to Ooft's rework of MJ's 'Thriller', this is a gently funky houser:
Michael Jackson - Thriller (Mike Fisher Edit)
We've previously posted the dramatic Cousin Cole remix of Rolling In The Deep; and here's a cut from Pelski favorite Jozif. It's a muted, futuristic kind of funk, a plodding momentum with a the flicker of guitars and a crack of snares:
Adele - Rolling In The Deep (Jozif Edit)
Bonus:
Miguel Campbell - Baby I Got It (Edit Murphy Remix)
Mark E - Oranges (Jacques Renault Edit) {wav file}
