All it takes is one fashion item to make you feel like an icon. Well I’m feeling like Marilyn Monroe today and it’s all because of a cropped faux fur coat I picked up recently. It’s so Hollywood Glam. And, therefore, it’s so Marilyn Monroe. It is the inspiration for this entire look. Then the dress adds the pop art to the mix. It’s a harmony worth singing about.

Yes. Everything in today’s OOTD {Outfit of the Day} is under $25. The faux fur jacket was the highest priced item at $24. The dress — this one I’m so proud of — $12!! And the booties were $19.99. As you can see in the video I wasn’t sure which shoe to choose.
Snooze Shoe Choose
Ideally, I’d reach for a ivory or bone colored pump in this situation. But it’s the fall / winter season, so finding a light colored shoe is almost impossible. So….I had to decide between a pair of cut out white booties or a pair of Steve Madden Dyvinals that I had from 2 years ago. Went with the cutout booties and thought it was okay. I still think an ivory colored pump would have been better. I purchased the dress, coat and white booties from Cicis.
