Pontius Pilate Obama

But he’s not talking very loudly.  In fact, as I listened to the following video, President Obama seems to say he’s issued all the executive orders that he can, there’s nothing left that he can do, and he is therefore dumping the gun control issue in the lap of Congress (which, as everyone knows, won’t do anything).  President Obama may change his tune, but for now, he seems to say that when it comes to gun control, “I wash my hands of it.”

Obama’s apparent discouragement reminds me of an article I posted here just two days ago about Senator Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) complaint that “People who Don’t Believe In Government are Winning“.  Like Obama, Senator Majority Leader Reid also seemed resigned to his loss of power and inability to get any legislation passed so long as the Tea Party “anarchists” are present in the Senate and House of Representatives.

These aren’t happy days for Big Gov-Co.  But, if it helps, I want you gov-co guys to know that “I feel your pain”.

Of course, it’s too early to say for sure, but it appears that the President and the Senate Majority Leader are so frustrated by their diminishing powers that they may both be heading for depressions (psychological, rather than economic–although that could happen, too.).  Again, in the video below, we see faint evidence that the forces of Big Gov-Co are on a downstroke.  I’m delighted.

Anyway, here’s Obama’s gun control video.  See if you also catch a glimpse of hand-wringing or even “hand washing”.
