Pond Pudding Recipe – Fun With The Kids

By Therealsupermum @TheRealSupermum

This is great for the kids. Either for a party or just to have fun making it all together. I am sure they will enjoy making it as much as eating it
You will need:

  • Marzipan
  • 2 green jellies packs                                                                                                                                                  image from Getoutside Pond Pudding Recipe Fun With The Kids
  • jelly fish sweets,                                                                                                                                                    Image taken from: Getoutside.com
  • small tin of apricot halves,
  • green food colouring,
  • icing pens,
  • rolling pin,
  •  icing sugar,
  •  glass bowl,
  •  paint brush,
  • you could use thin slices of angelica as reeds

What you need to do:
Make up half of one jelly following the instructions on the packet. Leave it to cool.
Sprinkle icing sugar on the rolling pin and work surface. Then roll out the marzipan until it is about 5mm thick. Cut out lily pad shapes (like hearts) and reeds. Paint them with green food colouring.
Put the apricots at the bottom of the bowl to look like rocks. Arrange the reeds round the edge. If you use angelica, you may need to push the ‘reeds’ into the apricots. Pour the jelly over the apricots. Let it cool and put in the fridge to set.
Make up the rest of the jelly. When it is cool (but still runny), pour it over the set jelly. Arrange the fish in it and return to the fridge to set.
Put the lily pads on the surface of the jelly. Use the icing pens to draw flowers on the top. And enjoy

If you cant find angelica then why not improvise and use something different or similar.

Why not put a picture on the group of how it turns out? I would love to see them.
