Last night, Rihanna was honored with the Fashion Icon Award at CFDA Awards 2014. She wore a completely sheer custom designed Adam Selfman dress. With a Swavorski crystal bedazzled headpiece to match. While I thought that 1920′s flappers style look was gorgeous, I do think having her nipples exposed was a bit too far.
The same look could have been a achieved with a nude colored slip or bodysuit. If this award show had been televised essentially her entire look would have been censored. I get Rihanna’s need for shock value, but when does it become too much?
