Since we were first introduced to as an artist, there's been this thing that continues to grab our attention and make us want to listen and then want to know what's next. It has taken us from TV to an EP, through singles and videos, and now to the release of Diamonds and a new round of 5 Quick Questions.
Apple Music classifies Diamonds as indie rock, her previous releases were tagged as alternative, and you couldn't be blamed for finding other labels for them too. POESY seems absolutely fine to be making her music, and letting someone else decide what they need to call it. She's done just fine in creating interesting, captivating art so far. And we're sure she'll continue to do more of it.
In case you missed it, here's what I said about POESY returns with the anticipated new single, Diamonds on release day in the New Music Spotlight : Diamonds. And it was worth the wait. After her 2019 EP, Glass Box Confessional, she's back and continues to show herself as an artist on the rise, worthy of your attention, and highly talented. Diamonds gives us some real Florence + The Machine vibes in a very good way, and y'all should be ready to hear a lot of this one. Enjoy!

POESY - Diamonds
The video for Diamonds is... wow. If you just watched it, you know what I mean. There's a lot of beauty and then some scary and dark (and some Black Swan-esque stuff) and it all comes together like it was meant to all along.
POESY calls herself a musical theatre kid at-heart at the end of her 5 Quick Questions video - and this video gives her a chance to flex those muscles.
Because we're still living in COVID times, we sent POESY a list for 5 Quick Questions and she turned the camera on to give us some answers. Fun fact though, this is the second time we've played a round of 5 Quick Questions with POESY. The first came over the phone in , the morning after she had been revealed as the winner of her episode on The Launch and Soldier Of Love was being released to the world.
In that 1st round we asked her about dream collaborations, and we asked again this time too. The answers have changed, but I still want to shout out her 2018 picks because I think they are excellent!
