Poems Featured at Spillwords and More!

Posted on the 01 October 2019 by Cendrinemedia @cendrinemedia

Hello everyone!

It has been a while since I posted something new on the blog. Blame it on my incredibly busy schedule!

My new job

This summer, I became the Head of Marketing and Communications at ConnexionFranco.Coop, a platform that lists thousands of providers of services in French in a minority context across Canada. Our goal is to increase their visibility, and hence provide wider opportunities for French-speaking consumers to be served in the language of their choice, no matter where they are in the country.

What a wonderful opportunity for me! Not only do I get to work with a wonderful founder, but I have also been able to use my mother tongue most of the day. And we are building bridges with Francophone communities across Canada! Check out the platform, we will officially launch in a few days...

Poems featured at Spillwords

I have the honor to announce that two of my poems made it to Spillwords. This website features an array of talented writers (especially poets, like James Marchiori) and this is not a small feat.

My new poetry journal!

If you follow me on social media, you know that I have been working on a dream project of mine. About ten months ago, poet and author David Ellis and I started discussing the possibility of creating a literary journal that would feature positive and uplifting poetry, no matter the topic. Auroras & Blossoms Poetry Journal was born a few days later.

Responses to our submission call were fantastic. Many poets wanted to be part of our inaugural issue, which was an exhilarating experience.

Issue #1 is released today!

More formats and outlets will be available over the next few weeks. I'll keep you updated.

My photography collective

Another dream project of mine took shape this year as well: FPoint Collective. I launched a photography collective with Portuguese photographer Isabel Nolasco. Then, Sónia Pereira Pedro, another photographer from Portugal, joined us a couple of months later.

Every month, we announce a theme and invite our audience to submit photos for feature on our social media pages. We also publish our interpretations on our blog.

Overall, it's been a very fun experiment! We look forward to continuing working together.

My latest books

Don't forget that Walks: A Collection of Haiku (Vol. 1 and 2) are available for purchase around the world! More information here.

Stay tuned for more news in the near future!
