P!nk – Summer Carnival Tour 2023 (Sunderland Review)

Posted on the 13 June 2023 by Caz @LetsGoToTheMov7

Date: Saturday 10th June 2023

Venue: Stadium of Light, Sunderland, UK

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Get the party started, no one can do that like P!nk that is for sure! What a truly immense opening to the show and then everything that would follow was equally and even more amazing (yes, I realize that doesn’t actually make a lot of sense but if you are lucky enough to see this tour then you will firmly understand what I mean by that). She is unique and groundbreaking, singing, dancing, playing the piano, gymnastics and flying around the stage and stadium like it’s nothing at all. What a woman!

Since 2001 I have wanted to see P!nk live and for whatever reasons I just haven’t managed to make it a reality, until now of course. I have to say though that it was everything I had ever dreamed it would be and more! Each time a new album was released I would listen to it on repeat all the way from the CD days, through iTunes and now Spotify. I constantly listen to her music, whether that be driving in the car, out for a run or just in general in the house. Therefore, I was more than ready knowing all the words to all the songs!

Yes, I was one of those people constantly singing along or maybe more screeching as I cannot sing at all. I had the best time though and pretty much every single time the next song came on I thought no this one is my favourite, in reality though I have so many favourites and some which have seen me through the toughest of times.

The dancers as part of the show are truly outstanding as well, then we have fire, fireworks and the aerial performances all of which are truly stunning. This was easily the best gig I have ever been to, it meant so much as well which I think added to it all. My only regret is not managing to see her for the first time sooner, then I could have been to so many gigs over the years!

I actually loved the way she talks between some of the songs and is just a full on ball of energy for the two hours that she is on stage, it really is so breathtaking from start to finish. Her physical fitness is on another level and the strength she possesses is utterly inspiring.
