On April 27 I facilitated the first of three planned community conversations with stakeholders at
Filoli as a part of
RPR Fundraising‘s ongoing work with the organization, focusing on the future of the historic country estate located in Woodside, CA. This is the start of a s
trategic planning process that will include plans for the estate’s Centennial Celebration as well as fund development and long-term sustainability plans. The session included a number of interactive opportunities for Filoli’s membership, volunteers, staff, and board members to express their thoughts in a variety of ways. Activities included table topic discussions, a “dot exercise” with red, yellow, and green dots signifying participants’ reactions to a series of questions, comment cards at each table for additional thoughts, and a “graffiti wall” with seed topics. Information gathered in these sessions will help inform the strategic planning process in the coming months.
