Plaid Cone Trees

By Vixenmade @vixenMade
I realize Christmas is coming to an end.  Less than a week now.
But I figured I'd share a quick project with you that you can do last minute.  Whether you want to add a little something more to your mantel, or like me, you want some coordinating props for an upcoming Christmas party.

And since I'm crazy over plaid this year.

Of course, you don't need to make them plaid at all.  Find some cute wrapping paper, some cardboard cones from the craft store and spray adhesive.

First of all, draw out your shape.  Lay your cone on a straight edge and using a pencil, roll your cone as you trace the line.  Make sure and make a mark on your cone so you know where to stop rolling.

Also, be sure to add a little just to be safe when applying the paper to your cone.  You can always trim the excess.

Lay down some newspaper for applying the glue (things can get sticky).

Spray along one edge of your paper and stick it onto the cone.

Then you can spray the remaining paper and begin slowly rolling the paper onto your cone.

Once you get the edge, start trimming the excess paper.

Then the bottom.

Let them dry for a few minutes.  And you're set!
